About TSOCA

Telangana State Organic Certification Authority (TSOCA) was established as per G.O. No.103 dated 27.02.2016 of Agri & Coop Department, Government of Telangana with an aim to render service in inspection and certification of agricultural products and food processing by assessing the conformity of the products with NPOP standards TSOCA has been accredited by Agricultural and Processed Food Product Export Development Authority (APEDA), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, New Delhi vide Accreditation No. NPOP/NAB/0034 dated 01.06.2018.

TSOCA is also authorized as Regional Council (RC) by National Centre of Organic Farming (NCOF), Ghaziabad, UP, India vide File No.10(6)/2019/NCOF/Cert-PGS/881-882 dated 27.04.2021 under PGS India programme with functional area as Telangana state.

TSOCA has been established as per guidelines of ISO-65. Its structure and system of functions are transparent, independent, regular, quality improvement, provision of internal review, confidentiality and non-discriminate against caste, religion, gender, marital status etc.

The TSOCA is functioning as per the National Programme of Organic Production (NPOP) standards and PGS India Guidelines with the following objectives.

Objectives:

  1. To maintain an effective quality system to ensure compliance with ISO-65 standards and other relevant organic standards.
  2. To ensure that the organic products certified conform to the NPOP standards.
  3. To maintain and make available to public residue-free organic products through a credible certification system.
  4. To provide and promote technical knowledge required by the operators in producing quality organic products.
  5. To grant certificates and license for the use of certification mark under the Organic Production Certification Mark Regulation Act, 2002 and as per the procedures prescribed by the TSOCA.
  6. To carry out educational programmes to promote use of certified organic products including publication of list of operators and provide information to NAB (APEDA) and NAC (NCOF)
